Q: Do your courses carry any official certification?
A: Yes all our courses are officially certified by the American Small Arms Academy. Upon completion you will be awarded an official ASAA European Division Certificate that is internationally recognised.

Q: Do I need to provide my own Countryside Alliance or BASC insurance policy to come and shoot with you?
A: No, when you are on one of our courses you will be covered by our own insurance. This satisfies the legal requirements of training in Switzerland. BASC and CA policies will NOT cover you for any sort of Tactical Firearms Training anywhere in the world.

Q: Is ASAA just target based training?
A: No, the ASAA is the only system that was designed from the ground up to be defensive and combat orientated. Everything in the ASAA system is done for a reason based on real life happenings.

Q: Are your Instructors qualified?
A: All our instructors are personally qualified by Chuck Taylor, The Director of the ASAA, and have taught Police, Military, Special Forces and Private Individuals.

Q: I have my SIA UK Close Protection licence and I am looking for a firearms course. Are your courses suitable for this?
A: Yes we provide firearms training for several of the largest CP training providers in the UK, though these companies we can arrange for the 5 day course to be ASAA certified.

Q: What weapons will we use?
A: We generally use Glock 17 and 19’s, MP5, Mossburg and Remington Pump-Action Shotguns and the Sig 550 series of Assault Rifles.

Q: Are you English Speaking?
A: The Directors and instructors of the European Division are British

Q: Why do you have to run your courses in Switzerland?
A: Due to current UK laws Section 5 weapons are banned (Handguns and Assault Rifles)

Q: I want to come on one of your courses but I have no military experience, is this a problem?
A: Not at all. The ASAA system is designed from the ground up, we have trained literally hundreds of civilians that are now working armed security around the world. For our Foundation level courses we assume that students have no prior knowledge of firearms handling.

Q: Is Switzerland Expensive?
A:The latest Mercer study ranks Geneva around 9th in terms of cost of living. London is currently rated 5th. Prices at the town where we train are very reasonable, and the quality of food and drink is very high, with excellent value for money.

Q: When I come to Geneva how will I get to the hotel?
A: Just inform us of your flight times and one of our instructors will pick you up from the airport. We wait by the arrivals gate with a name card.

Q: Do I have to arrange my own insurance?
A: For the course we have arranged a suitable 3rd party insurance cover for you to take part.We also recommend that you apply for the new European Health Insurance card if you have not already got one or arrange your own suitable health insurance. Details here

Q: I am not a British National is this a problem?
A: Due to Swiss Law we ar unable to train anybody from the following countries, the former Yugoslavia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Algeria and Albania. Full information is available from the Swiss Federal Government website here
